During law school, Jim tried cases in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office and clerked for the highly regarded personal injury law firm of Morris, Foust, Beckett and Ponick.
Since 1978 Jim has headed his own law firm, since 1995 in partnership with attorney Bill Manson. Jim has handled literally thousands of cases and was selected by The Kansas City Star to author a series of articles on legal topics. He was selected for membership by Outstanding Lawyers of America and The Metropolitan Who's Who Registry. He also has authored articles for legal and mainstream publications.
