Car accident involving horseback riders sends 3 men to hospital

Drivers must always watch out for other people who are on the roadways. For some more rural areas, people on horseback might share the roadways with cars. A recent incident between a man in an SUV and horseback riders landed one man in a Missouri hospital.

The incident occurred in Baxter County when a man was allegedly upset that the horseback riders were on the road. The man is accused of squalling tires as he went around a corner. The driver of the 2007 GMC Jimmy slammed into three horses and their riders. Three horses and three men were thrown into a ditch.

After the car accident, one of the non-injured horseback riders claims the driver got out of the vehicle yelling at the riders about why they were on the road. One horseback rider was airlifted to a Missouri hospital and two others were taken to a hospital in Baxter County. One of the horses had to be euthanized, but others received veterinary care and have a good prognosis.

The driver of the GMC Jimmy received citations for no insurance and reckless driving.

Driving while you are angry is usually not a good idea because of the emotional impairment that is possible. If you or a loved one have been injured in an accident caused by someone who was impaired in any way, you might have the right to seek compensation for your injuries. Seeking help from an experienced Missouri personal injury lawyer can help you to learn about types of compensation you might seek for your claims associated with the accident.
